Shweeb uses a pedal-powered monorail as the basis of an innovative urban commuting system. The system combines existing monorail technology with the aerodynamic efficiency of recumbent bicycles offering sustainable transportation for a campus or park-type setting.

This pioneering transport system raised new questions regarding existing building codes and design approaches. We carried out research and development to find solutions to these questions and designed the kit of parts that will make up Shweeb: rails, pylons, station, hubs and pods.

We worked towards deploying these components for a site specific installation and provided project management support to the client to enable them to develop this concept into a scaleable transport system.
