Expedition had a very enjoyable lunch today where Oscar Rodriguez and Amy Cooper from the Architecture & Food consultancy discussed the great possibilities of integrating agriculture within the built environment.
Discussing the food cycle from first principles, A&f explored a variety of ways of reconfiguring existing building stock to enable a building that can support the localisation of food production by exploiting the synergies between building services and food growing systems.
It was a great way to kick of the 2013 Useful Tuesdays lunchtime talks, a series that is on-going with the Trust to encourage a culture of learning and sharing of knowledge.
