Amy is a Chartered Civil Engineer with experience in both construction management and civil infrastructure design. She has a passion for sustainable development and joined Expedition in 2019 after completing a PgCert in Environmental Water Management at Cranfield University.
She benefits from a broad construction background, initially studying a dual degree in Structural Engineering and Architecture at The University of Sheffield and working for Sir Robert McAlpine on site, before joining engineering consultancy. Prior to Expedition she worked at Atkins in the Civil Infrastructure team. She enjoys working on projects to maximise benefit to the environment and communities, and has gained understanding of engineering in a global context through voluntary positions with Raleigh International in India and Engineers Without Borders UK.
After achieving Chartership in December 2016, she seized the opportunity for a career break and travelled through India, Central and South America, Australasia and South East Asia.
