The Soundforms product is a mobile performance shell, providing a high quality and acoustically optimised stage for musical events.

Formed as a partnership between conductor Mark Stephenson, architects Flanagan Lawrence, events specialists and Arup Acoustics, Expedition came on board in 2014 to create the Mark II shell, the previous iteration having been highly commended at the World Architecture Festival in 2012.

Working with the team, Expedition optimised the design of the new shell, which now incorporates both stretched or inflatable membrane cover, and has been optimised for structural efficiency and for quick and safe delivery across the globe.

Expedition is providing engineering services for the local deployment of the shell as the product is rolled out worldwide. For details see the Soundforms website: http://www.soundforms.co.uk/

The Rady Shell opened during summer 2021 at the Jacobs Park in San Diego as a performance venue for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
