Shakespeare’s New Place opened during the August Bank Holiday and an opening event for supporters of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust was held on Tuesday evening.

Expedition’s Chris Wise and Useful Simple Trust trustee Tim O’Brien have provided the Artistic Direction for New Place, the location of William Shakespeare’s home in Stratford-upon-Avon.  The design guides the visitor through the Gatehouse, Service Range, Courtyard and the Main House, the limits of which are marked in bronze thresholds. Each area is populated by artwork hinting at Shakespeare’s work, achievements and lifetime.

Our work with Feilden Clegg Bradley StudiosSpeirs and Major, Gillespies and QODA Consulting also included the new timber frame exhibition centre which has a champagne terrace from which to observe New Place and the Knot Garden.
