Just in time for spring, the Lee Valley VeloPark, has been officially opened by its new owner, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. Always designed to be the hub of a wider VeloPark, the Olympic Velodrome is now joined by a remodelled BMX track (suitable for all, not just elite riders), a one-mile road circuit and 8km of mountain bike trails.

As part of the opening events, this weekend (14th and 15th March) the Velodrome has seen the return of some of the 2012 Olympic Games stars such as Laura Trott and Jason Kenny at the sell-out 2-day Finale of the Revolution Series. Next week sees the VeloPark hosting Sport Relief and it all opens to the public on the 31st of March.

With costs starting at £4 there no reason not to go along and have go – but book now as there’s already a growing waiting list!
